Soroptimist International of Kansas City

Soroptimist International of Kansas City is dedicated to supporting our community, meeting other great women, and having a fun time doing it. Our club gives to the community through hands-on volunteering, awards and recognition programs, and generous grants. Our membership is made up of women of all ages and ethnic groups, from all walks of life and cultures, in diverse businesses and professions.

The KC Soroptimists are proud to partner with Standees Theater in Prairie Village to bring Lunafest to Kansas City in celebration of International Women's Day on Sunday, March 8th at 3 p.m.  These short films are by and about women to present fresh perspectives and challenge stereotypes.

The International Day for the Abolition of Slavery, 2 December, recalls the date of the adoption, by the General Assembly, of the United Nations Convention for the Suppression of the Traffic in Persons and of the Exploitation of the Prostitution of Others (resolution 317(IV)of 2 December 1949).
