What a better way to help a great cause then to gather around a table with friends and family. Join us March 19th at O’Neill’s Restaurant & Bar in Leawood (9417 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS). From 11:00am to 10:00pm a portion of your bill will be donated to our club and will go to support our annual signature programs and projects. Just make sure to let your server know you are there to support Soroptimist International of Kanas City!
Where do the proceeds go?
SIKC is a local club as part of a global organization but the funds raised through this event will stay in Kansas City to help women and girls achieve their educational and career goals.
- Live Your Dream awards – This year, SIKC is expected to award four Live Your Dream awards to total over $10,500. This will help financially support women in Kansas City pursuing a higher level of education. This will reduce financial burdens such as school books and supplies, child care, rent, household bills, etc. By reducing these burdens will allow them to put the focus into their education to achieve their goals.
- Dream It, Be It – This is a mentoring program for school aged girls. The curriculum provides the tools to move closer to achieving their goals. They will learn about setting goals, overcoming obstacles, and learning more about career opportunities and what they can do.
- Service Objectives Grants – SIKC is committed to help other local non-profits that aligns with our mission to help empower women and girls in our community. Each year we promote and receive grant applications from non-profits that offer direct services that help women climb out of their current circumstances and work towards an enriched and rewarding life.
